About me

Adefioye Adedayo

I am Adefioye Adedayo, an entrepreneur who embraces innovation and creativity, making Agriculture as my area of interest. I have chosen Agriculture because of the various value chains that offer great opportunities to create wealth, provide jobs and develop the rural communities.
My passion is in empowering the youth both on local and intercontinental levels, and that is why I have joined a group called, IITA YOUTH AGRIPRENEURS (IYA), whose sole mission is to exploit the various opportunities inherent in the value chains of Agriculture with the purpose of creating wealth, enhancing increased income and self-dependency for the rural youth.
The group was founded in 2012 through the initiative of the Director General of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Dr. Nteranya Sanginga when the IFAD president, Dr. Kanayo Nwanze visited the then youth corpers at IITA. The group has since developed itself over the space of 2 years and can boost of several achievements.

Currently, I am one of the Communication team officers of the group and I manage several communication panels for the group. I make use of the social media tools and make some publications. On the grass-root, I collaborate with individuals and groups of like minds who make development a top priority especially in Agriculture
